RedPocket - OK, but could be better
Next review is Redpocket Wireless.

from goredpocket.com

Founded in 2006, Red Pocket Mobile offers no contract wireless service throughout the United States, including Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) on the nation's largest GSM network. Red Pocket’s product suite includes Unlimited and Pay-As-You-Go plans, all powered by the ultra-convenient Red Pocket Mobile SIM card.
The Red Pocket UNLIMITED plan offers an amazing value for just $39.99 per month, including:
  • Unlimited Domestic Talk & Text
  • Mobile Web and MMS bundle - all at superfast, nationwide high speeds
  • International ROLLOVER minutes with every refill
  • Direct-Dial International Calls
The international rollover minutes and direct-dial features of the Red Pocket UNLIMITED plan help fight churn, making Red Pocket Mobile customers some of the ‘stickiest’ customers in no contracts wireless. Low churn boosts profits for dealers.
Red Pocket Mobile’s Pay-As-You-Go plan includes FREE international long distance to many destinations, including Canada, many cities in Mexico, China, Hong Kong and South Korea. Low-volume users get a tremendous value, while short-term visitors to the USA are happy with the convenient SIM card format of Red Pocket Mobile’s GSM service.

Pros

1.  24 hr customer service.   Issue with service?  it is nice to know that you can call in at anytime to report the issue.

2.  May plans to choose from.  Can choose paygo, weekly, bu weekly, and monthly.(Pic from the RedPocket Plans page.
3.  They have a BYOD program, and it works well.  They have  steps on their webpage to configure your phone to RedPocket.

Cons:

1.  Customer service is slow to contact.  It typically takes them 10-30 minutes to answer a call to CS.  Be prepared for lack of resolution as well.  CS is similar to America Movil's CS.

2.  Redpocket has been known to cheat customers from minutes/data they have purchased.

3.  Redpocket advertises online chat CS, but the link is non-esistant on their site.  Clicking on the online CS link directs you to their troubleshooter.

Personally RedPocket is an ok prepaid option, but their CS leaves a lot to be desired.  Also recently they changed pricing on their plans and they give less data than they used to.  Also the data has been reported to be throttled.  Only plus is that if you do not mind waiting on the phone for 30ish minutes you can talk to their CS.
